"Project was to make house compliant to code in order to install insulation over knob and tube wiring. Peter was the only contractor who actually got out the code book and looked up what we needed to do instead of just quoting a whole house rewire. He performed about two hours worth of rewiring to correct some bad wiring in the attic and wrote up a certification to give to insulation installers. On the plus side, he got to the house in 30 minutes after I called and helped clean out some of the debris in the attic. Professional and nice."

Insulation may be installed in knob and tube environments as long as a qualified electrical contractor examines and certifies the wiring is in good condition with no improper junctions or splices existing.
